We provide a range of services across the Darwin and Palmerston areas which include specialist family violence case management and recovery services for victim survivors of family violence.
To complete a referral into one of our services or refuges in the Northern Territory, call (08) 8981 5928, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or email teammailcbh@salvationarmy.org.au.
The Family Violence Services operate two refuges in the region which can accommodate single women or families. In addition to providing a safe, warm and welcoming space for victim survivors, services include risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, support accessing grants and payments, and referrals to other support such as legal, wellbeing, mental health, housing and health. The refuges operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our outreach programs operate across the Darwin and Palmerston areas.
These services provide specialist family violence case management responses to victim survivors of family and domestic violence. Support includes:
Our specialist family violence program for young people aged 16 to 24 years provides outreach case management support to young people at risk of or experiencing family and domestic violence. The program also offers workshops and capacity building for professionals who support young people to increase their knowledge of family and domestic violence and early intervention for at-risk youth.
Our Family Violence Counsellor provide psychoeducation and healing and recovery-focused supports for adult victim survivors engaged in both residential and outreach services. Referrals are also received from external services.
Specialist therapeutic responses are provided for children in the refuge. The Specialist Children’s Practitioner provides trauma-informed, child-centred and culturally safe supports, with a focus on recovery from experiences of family violence.
