Times are tough. Over the past year, we’ve seen more and more people reaching out to the Salvos than ever before. Struggling families, unemployed hard-working Aussies, women and children escaping domestic violence — the need has never been greater. But when people are in crisis, Aussies step up to help. That’s what Crisis Partners are all about.
Manny's Story
After escaping an abusive home, Manny* became homeless at a young age and was forced to live in a tent, alone and constantly on the move.
He recalls, “The Salvation Army found out about my living situation and moved me into Transitional Housing. I was ecstatic... It was so nice to actually have a roof over my head.”
With ongoing support from the Salvos, Manny finally found stability and a pathway out of homelessness.
