We believe everyone deserves a stable and secure home.
We believe in good for all people but are specifically committed to housing individuals who are experiencing social disadvantage.
We establish and maintain safe, affordable and secure tenancies through the management of a range of high-quality housing options across Australia. We seek to transform lives with the love of Jesus and commit ourselves in prayer and practice to this land of Australia and it's people, seeking reconciliation, unity and equity.
Salvation Army Housing operates through two trading companies:
- Salvation Army Housing (SAH)
- Salvation Army Housing (Victoria)
Both companies are not-for-profit community housing providers, registered charities and are public companies limited by guarantee. Both are Tier 2 providers under the National Regulatory System for community housing providers.
Salvation Army Housing operates as a single organisation with a common Board and management, in all states and territories. Combined, we manage over 1900 properties around Australia.
We also work with a range of community, government and non-government agencies to support housing tenants.

Zahra - Salvation Army Housing tenant
I came to Australia in 2015 and married an Australian man in 2018. By 2020, my doctor identified signs of abuse and connected me with the Family Violence Response Centre.
I was then placed in a short-term refuge with Salvation Army Housing, and began to rebuild my confidence and engage with support services.
Despite losing contact with my family, I am committed to raising awareness about family violence to help others facing similar challenges.
