Isobell - Salvation Army Housing Tenant

I came to The Salvation Army due to a domestic violence crisis. I had multiple head traumas and knee damage from the violence, which left me with a permanent disability and significant mental health challenges.

After multiple triggering events, I wasn't able to keep up with my home or pay rent, which led to my daughter being removed from my care. Salvation Army Housing reconnected me with their domestic violence support services, and within 12 months, I was reunited with my daughter.

With the support of the Salvos, I've managed to maintain my tenancy, keep my rent current, and create a stable and nurturing home. I'm now studying to build a better future for myself and to give back to the community that continues to support me.
