What can we provide?

The National Safer in the Home program requires referrals from family and domestic violence professionals.

We provide a range of basic security upgrades

Depending on priority and budget, upgrades might include:

  • Lock changes to or rekeying of external doors to which the person using violence has a copy of keys to access
  • Provision and installation of security sensor lighting
  • Provision and installation of security screen doors to essential entry and exit points
  • Compliant utility locks where there has been evidence of tampering by the person using violence
  • Remote technology consultations including basic cyber safety education with a security technician

Remote technology consultations

G-SEC Security are an experienced security services firm who have full security accreditation and meet The Salvation Army compliance requirements. G-SEC have been providing a range of family and domestic violence security-related services for many years.

A remote technology consultation can be funded for up to two devices per client. The consultation is completed by a qualified technician using remote access software and includes:

  • Wireless connection to the client's laptop to scan for basic spyware
  • Consult with clients to navigate their mobile phones to protect against technology abuse, covering password protection and cyber safety planning 
  • A written transcript of the consultation is provided. The report is not forensic standard and is not supported for legal purposes.
