Kim Haworth has been a committed follower of Jesus since a life-changing encounter with God in 2000. She is passionate about transforming lives through the love of Jesus. Commissioned as a Salvation Army Officer in 2008, she has served as Corps Officer in Bairnsdale and Wyndham City, Divisional Commander in TAS and NSW/ACT Divisions and currently serves as Assistant Chief Secretary – Mission. She holds qualifications, including a Bachelor of Ministry and Graduate Diploma of Theology, and has completed two international leadership development programs.

Roger has 26 years’ experience in corporate senior management, focusing on project and strategic management. He has spent the last 15 years assisting the aid and development sector with Australian Government accreditation under the DFAT ANCP program. Roger was a Board member and Chairperson of Micah Australia from 2015 through to 2023. He continues to provide input to Micah through the Finance, Risk and Audit Sub-Committee.

Arbin has 17 years’ experience as Financial Accountant for The Salvation Army, managing financial accounting and taxation reporting. He also brings high-level networking capabilities and 18 years’ team-building expertise, service design and strategy.

Gary entered The Salvation Army Training College in 1987. Following his training, he spent 15 years in corps appointments before transitioning to the Public Relations Department, where he led the Red Shield Appeal for 13 years. His versatile career includes a decade in Aged Care and Legal services, notably as Territorial Estates Manager. In 2023, Gary returned to the Communications Team to manage the Self Denial Appeal. He now serves as the Executive Manager of External Communications, bringing a wealth of mission-focused and operational expertise.

Ian Curtis was a Salvation Army Officer for 8 years and then served in senior executive roles with World Vision Australia and World Vision International for 35 years. He has lived and worked in 10 countries. He is a Member of the Order of Australia for his ‘Executive Leadership of multiple Complex Humanitarian Emergencies with World Vision International’. He holds a PhD in Governance and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Chey has two decades of senior leadership experience in international humanitarian and development work. He has served as Program Manager and Executive Director of Australian Lutheran World Service, and as global Head of Operations for the Lutheran World Federation in Geneva. Having lived and worked in England, Ecuador, Japan and Switzerland, he recently returned to Australia as Director of the Church Agencies Network Disaster Operations. Chey also contributes to international aid boards and advisory groups, and has worked as a teacher, strategy consultant and executive coach.

Daryl was the country director in Tanzania and Uganda leading refugee health programs, before returning as General Manager of The Salvation Army's Emergency Services. In August 2025, he became the General Manager of the new Emergency, Aid and Development. Over two decades, he held church leadership and training roles across three countries before joining World Vision Australia and Medical Teams International, working across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and South Asia. Daryl is also qualified in Cultural Anthropology, International Community Development and Humanitarian Response Management.

Steph has over 20 years’ experience in aid and development across Australia, Africa and the Pacific, primarily with faith-based organisations supporting humanitarian and development programs. She holds a Master of International Social Development from UNSW and received Honours from the University of Western Sydney for research on integrating ni-Vanuatu Indigenous philosophies into sustainable community development in Vanuatu. Steph is passionate about locally led development that creates long-term, meaningful change. She joined SAID as Program Manager in January 2022.

Aletia has over 20 years’ experience in international community development, focusing on faith-based partnerships. She has led programs at global, regional and national levels in resilience, livelihoods, peacebuilding, inclusion/leadership in crises. She is passionate about strengths-based development, challenging colonialism, and the intersection of faith and social change. She holds a Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies and has worked in the Middle East in human rights monitoring. A committed Quaker, she values peace with justice and collaboration across faiths.
