If times are tough, come and see us for a cuppa and a chat.
Our Salvos Connect site is open three mornings a week:
We can help you find the support you need to get you back on your feet. This may involve financial counselling, case work or referrals to our alcohol and other drugs service.

Monday and Tuesday 9.30am–12pm
Coffee. Cafe. Connection.
Come and enjoy a free hot drink and light refreshments.
Open every week except for public holidays.

For all-year financial support, call us and a team member will have a compassionate conversation with you to understand your needs and let you know what help is available.
When you phone us, you may be told you're eligible for a voucher and directed to visit us at our Salvos Connect collection site (also called Doorways) on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, between 9.30am and 11.30am.

By request
Our prison chaplains are available at correctional centres throughout Australia.
The Salvation Army chaplains are part of a multi-faith chaplaincy team. Where a Salvation Army Chaplain is not operating in a particular prison, a referral will be passed to another member of the Chaplaincy Team.

The Salvation Army’s free financial counselling service, Moneycare, is here to help you feel in control of your finances. The financial counsellors can work with you to manage your debt, develop new strategies or you may like to explore our free eBook. They can also point you in the right direction for a No Interest Loan.
Call us to book an appointment or talk to a financial counsellor online.

Have you or a family member served in the Australian Defence Force and need help finding housing? The Veteran Support Team may be able to help.

The Salvation Army supports our servicemen and servicewomen as chaplains. Members of the Red Shield Defence Services team are based at the Townsville Lavarack Barracks.
