FYRST
A support service for young people 12-25 years who would like to address their alcohol and drug issues.
FYRST (Follow-On Youth Recovery Support Team) is a free service that offers flexible and individual support within a case management model.
FYRST also offers support to those who are completing, or have completed detox, rehab or are leaving detention. It provides a mobile support team that can visit a client's home, meet at a cafe or pick up a client from local transport.

How to access this service:
Anyone can refer a person to FYRST, including young people who want to be supported through the service themselves.
Families can also get assistance from FYRST with information, education, referrals and support.
FYRST services include:
- Case Management
- Relapse Prevention
- AOD Education (including vaping & energy drinks).
- Recovery Support
- School Education Programs
- Psychological Intervention for AOD and complex mental health needs
- Referrals to other support services.
FYRST can also link clients up with support systems like:
- Detox & rehab
- Centrelink
- Accommodation
- Education and training
- Employment
- Court & legal support
- Family support services
