Bundaberg Youth Refuge

For over 20 years, The Salvation Army's Youth Services have been walking alongside young people across Australia.

We support young people to find and sustain safe, suitable and affordable housing.

Youth homelessness is often invisible. Young people are the most common group to experience couch surfing. This means they are in temporary living situations with friends, relatives or even complete strangers.

Our practices are informed by young people and work to reduce harm by building on young people’s strengths and enhancing health, well-being, independence and resilience.

Shared residential service for young people with case management support

The Bundaberg Youth Refuge is a six-bed residential program that provides crisis accommodation and case management to young people aged 16–21 years old.

We have a broad range of support staff on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Support also includes intensive individualised case management. A key focus is supporting you to build life skills that can assist you with your transition into safe and sustainable independent accommodation.

Reach out for our shared residential service if you are aged 16–21 years without dependent children and are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless.
