Making it Happen
Together, we're making change happen — in PNG.
Our annual campaign supports a vital international project that uplifts a community facing poverty, exploitation and injustice.
Each year, corps and faith communities across the country come together to fund a specific project in a developing country — whether it’s building essential infrastructure, providing education and vocational training, or supporting vulnerable individuals with tools for independence.
Every gift helps create lasting transformation—empowering people, restoring dignity, and building brighter futures.

Your support will help transform our critical Women’s Refuge — offering safety, care, and hope to women and children escaping domestic violence.
With nearly 70% of women experiencing family or sexual violence, the need for secure refuge is urgent. Yet safe, stable accommodation is severely limited and doesn’t cope with the need.
With your support, we can restore dignity, rebuild lives, and bring real hope to women and children in crisis.

A journey of hope for Winnie
She arrived at the refuge with her children, and had nothing but the clothes on their backs. She had been hospitalised after a violent attack by her husband. Thankfully, hospital staff referred her to our Women’s Refuge — where her journey toward healing began.
Winnie considers herself fortunate, as safe accommodation is scarce (in PNG) and she found safety, shelter, support, and the opportunity to learn and grow.
The Making it Happen Appeal supports countries or territories where corps may be unable to self-fund their mission work, there is limited government support or restricted abilities to fundraise among the community.
Through a generous tax-deductible gift, for which a receipt will be provided, you may be able to increase your generosity.
However, if you do not require a receipt for tax purposes, you are encouraged to give to Evangelical Mission Support projects as they enable the Kingdom of God to grow through activities that are ineligible for other sorts of international aid.
Once the refuge’s needs are fully met, any remaining funds will support other projects aiding women and children escaping domestic violence.
